About the RoleWe are currently seeking Senior Project Engineers to join our Rail Operations team in Western Australia to work on a regional rail project. This role will operate on a DIDO basis.
Rail Operations is an internal business unit within Laing O'Rourke, specializing in delivering all aspects of rail projects with a team of technical experts across Western Australia.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to achieving Laing O'Rourke's safety targets and promote environmentally conscious working practices.
- Provide project engineering support to construction teams to facilitate the construction process.
- Ongoing monitoring and reporting of work progress.
- Direct interface with construction crews/subcontractors to collect data for project status, cost reporting, and forecasting.
- Support site construction crews with developing and communicating work packages.
- Assist with technical queries.
- Provide direction and supervision for Site and Project Engineers as required.
- You will hold a tertiary degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- Experience working for Tier 1 construction contracting companies in Australia on SMP projects (resource, large infrastructure, or rail).
- A strong commercial acumen.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- A high attention to detail.
We offer a competitive salary range of AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus industry-leading benefits such as:
