A Career in Addiction Counselling
Working as a Counsellor involves supporting individuals struggling with substance use issues. Our service focuses on delivering high-quality care to consumers, promoting positive outcomes and improving overall well-being.
In this role, you will work closely with colleagues to develop comprehensive plans tailored to each consumer's needs. You'll collaborate with a range of stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, community services, and support groups.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support consumers
- Address biopsychosocial factors contributing to substance use
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet consumer needs
- Current qualification as a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3 / Social Work Grade 2 / Occupational Therapist Grade 2
- Minimum of 2 years' clinical experience in a relevant clinical area
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022 and other Acts/legislation relevant to working with children, young people and adults in a mental health and/or AOD setting
- Clinical supervision structures to support your practice
