As a key member of our venue team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our café, supporting the Food and Beverage Supervisor in managing daily activities. Your focus will be on delivering high-quality menu items in a clean, hygienic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Events and Catering Supervisor to enhance patron and client experiences at The Bryan Brown Theatre and function rooms.
  • Prepare and serve daily menus and any required specials.
  • Ensure preplanning for each day, particularly for functions, special events, and activities.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the café, meeting rooms, and surrounds, including equipment and fixtures.
  • Assist with theatre shows and events.
  • Provide excellent service of hot and cold beverages.
  • Operate Council's POS system, adhering to cash handling guidelines.
  • Contribute to a positive image by maintaining effective public and customer relations, demonstrating personal integrity, honesty, and respect at all times.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in cafe, catering, theatre, or event management. They must also possess strong communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.

Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in food handling safe practices.
  • Hold RSA or willingness to obtain if successful.
