Job Title: Venue Assistant

The Venue Assistant plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of our café, ensuring exceptional quality and service standards are consistently met.

They collaborate with colleagues to deliver an outstanding experience for patrons and clients, making their visits enjoyable and comfortable.

  • Set up the café in preparation for trading hours.
  • Prepare and serve the daily menu, along with any required specials.
  • Ensure thorough planning for each day, particularly for functions, special events, and activities.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of the café, meeting rooms, equipment, and fixtures at all times.
  • Assist with theatre shows and events.
  • Provide high-quality service for hot and cold beverages.
  • Operate Council's POS system, including cash registers, and adhere to Councils Cash handling guidelines.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in cafe, catering, theatre, or similar environments.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, resulting in high service delivery standards.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing roles.
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
  • Hold RSA certification or be willing to obtain it if successful.
