Key Responsibilities

We seek Patient Services Assistants to join our team.

This role involves supporting high-quality patient care by providing essential services to clinical staff.

You will play a vital part in fostering a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

  1. Assist with transporting patients and equipment under supervision.
  2. Distribute meals, collect patient trays, clean the kitchen and fridge, and distribute menus.
  3. Safely segregate, collect, handle, store, transport, treat, and dispose of various waste streams.
  4. Strip and sanitize beds, remake them after discharge, and maintain cleanliness across hospital areas.
  5. Comply with HACCP, Workplace Health and Safety, and Infection Control guidelines.
  6. Perform cleaning tasks, including decontamination of beds, wards, and equipment.
  7. Check inventory of oxygen and suction equipment and report faulty equipment.
  8. Maintain stock levels in cleaners' rooms and trolleys.
  9. Ensure equipment is cleaned, restocked, and stored correctly.
  10. Support a respectful workplace culture and communicate effectively with nursing staff and stakeholders.

You will prioritize work with minimal supervision and work as part of a team in an environment of change.

You will have well-developed communication and people skills and interact respectfully with patients in a confident and positive manner.
