Your role will involve the design and development of critical mechanical systems for our deployed quantum sensors, requiring a broad skill set and hands-on approach.

  • Design, develop and test mechanical components and systems for our quantum sensor products
  • Conduct testing and analysis to ensure that mechanical components meet performance and reliability requirements
  • Utilize 3D CAD software (SolidWorks) to create detailed design drawings and specifications
  • Collaborate with physicists, electronic and software engineers to integrate mechanical components into the overall system design

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the mechanical engineering team to participate in design reviews and idea generation
  • Maintain parts and assemblies within product lifecycle management systems
  • Establish relationships with external suppliers to foster innovation and drive product development
  • Work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure designs can be produced at scale
  • Maintain a safe and organized lab/machine shop environment
  • Support the maintenance of deployed sensors

Required qualifications include a B.Sc or M.Sc in mechanical, aerospace, mechatronics engineering or related field, as well as relevant work experience and skills in areas such as 3D CAD software, CNC machining, finite element analysis, and more.
