About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Rail Journey Operations Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of rail signals and the coordination of train movements within our terminal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and operate the rail signal system, authorizing all train movements.
  • Coordinate the shunting of rolling stock and rail movements within the terminal yard.
  • Oversee and coordinate the arrival and departure of all trains at the terminal.
  • Operate the train wash facility and monitor the movements of staff, contractors, and visitors within the terminal area.
  • Process and issue operational documentation for train crews and relevant personnel.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require awareness and knowledge of Australian Standard Railway Safety Management and Rail National Code of Practice. You must also be flexible with your working availability, covering varied shift times over a 7-day week.
