Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive linehaul rate of $0.59 per kilometre (Grade 8) under the Road Transport (Long Distance Operations) Award.

Job Description

As a Freight Operations Driver, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking depot-to-depot direct and changeover runs
  • Performing bulk pickup, drop-off, and unload operations
  • Operating vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to regulatory requirements and CEVA policies
  • Ensuring safe handling and restraint of freight at all locations in conjunction with depot-based teams
  • Completing documentation related to trips, including pre-starts, work diaries, delivery dockets, and timesheets

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • A current MC driver's licence
  • Good understanding of Chain of Responsibility (CoR), including basic fatigue management, mass/dimensions, maintenance, and load restraint, as well as freight loading/unloading procedures
  • Good reliability, work ethic, communication skills, and attention to detail
