Job Description

As a Natural Resource Management Officer, you will play a vital role in the responsible stewardship of Queensland's natural resources. This involves assessing vegetation, land use planning, stock routes and land resources across the state, with a mix of office and field work.

You will be working at the frontline of natural resource management, collaborating with government agencies and other organizations to implement policies and ensure effective land use planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments and investigations to inform land use decisions
  • Provide advice and services to landholders and stakeholders on natural resource management issues
  • Collaborate with clients and government agencies on policy implementation and compliance activities
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mandatory: A degree or higher in Natural Resource Management, Land/Regional/Urban Planning, Environmental or Earth Sciences, or Agriculture
  • Desirable skills and qualifications: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment
