Job Opportunity

The Department of General Medicine is seeking a highly skilled specialist to provide clinical management and intervention for gastroenterology patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform clinical services for inpatients admitted under the Gastroenterology Service, ensuring optimal patient flow and allocation according to need and hospital requirements.
  • Provide specialist consultation within your field, including outpatient services.
  • Lead junior colleagues in delivering high-quality patient care that adheres to best practice and evidence-based standards.
About You:
  • You hold a primary medical degree registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), with recognized qualifications in Gastroenterology and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
  • You possess current gastroenterology (including endoscopy) clinical practice of a high standard, demonstrating ability to adapt practice in line with contemporary evidence-based best practice.
  • You demonstrate capacity for clinical leadership, a commitment to teaching in medicine, nursing, and allied health, and willingness to participate in clinical research.
