Orthotist Specialist Role

Job Overview

This specialist Orthotist role involves providing comprehensive clinical assessment and orthotic services to inpatients, outpatients, and community clients.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the clinical management of junior staff and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to plan and implement patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and provide orthotic services to patients.
  • Support the development and implementation of clinical protocols and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation.
  • Contribute to ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with industry advancements.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

  • Australian work rights and registration as an Orthotist.
  • Significant experience in orthotics, preferably with expertise in paediatric, CP, neuromuscular, scoliosis, and high-risk conditions.
  • Strong fabrication and manufacturing skills, including 3D scanning and printing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Eligibility and Compliance Requirements

  • This is a NSW Health Category A position, requiring immunisation and Tuberculosis (TB) screening.
