Asset Management Technical Developer

The Bureau's asset management system underpins the effective lifecycle management of a diverse and geographically dispersed portfolio of critical infrastructure and equipment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in the ongoing development, enhancement, and technical support of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, primarily focusing on IBM Maximo and Maximo Mobile platforms.

  • Design and implement technical solutions that improve asset management processes and system functionality.
  • Customise applications, automations, escalations, and reports to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Collaborate with asset owners, subject matter experts, and vendors to ensure that Maximo solutions support strategic asset management goals.

As a technical specialist, the Asset Management Technical Developer will contribute to the continuous improvement of Maximo by troubleshooting issues, managing product fixes in partnership with vendors, and ensuring the system remains robust and aligned with best practices.

The role involves active participation in system upgrades, testing and integration activities to deliver enhancements that drive efficiency, data integrity, and informed decision-making.

This role has the potential to expand to support a wider range of asset classes including property, ICT, and software assets, helping the organisation strengthen its asset management culture and capability across all business areas.
