Key Responsibilities

The Executive Director will guide a dedicated team and regional leadership group, championing the voices of local communities across the Rockhampton Regional and Livingstone Shire Councils.

This role offers an opportunity to shift entrenched systems, influence regional and national conversations, and support communities to design and deliver meaningful solutions.

Our ideal candidate is ready to lead with purpose, challenge the status quo, and create lasting impact alongside the community.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant work experience, including 3 or more years enabling high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Completion of a degree or qualification in Management, or similar, with relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills for diverse audiences.
  • A collective impact mindset and the presence to inspire confidence, passion, and accountability in internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced strategy and planning skills, with the ability to think strategically at both organisational and systemic levels over multi-year horizons.
