Land Product Manager Job Summary
A rare opportunity has arisen to join a small, Australian owned and operated tourism company. As a Land Product Manager, you will take ownership of the land programme area of their business and develop your team.
The company specialises in shore excursions and land programmes for cruise lines visiting Australia, giving guests the opportunity to discover Australia's natural wonders, cultural attractions and iconic destinations.
This role is responsible for leading the development and delivery of exceptional land programmes that not only delight guests but also positively impact the destinations they visit.
The successful candidate will have sound knowledge of Australian ports & cities, experience providing logistical or operational service within cruise or tourism, and a high level of attention to detail.
They will be a highly motivated team player with strong administrative skills and the ability to learn new systems, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and proven ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage the land programmes sector of the business, developing and delivering exceptional experiences for guests.
- Effectively lead, manage and develop one Land Programme Coordinator. Book and coordinate Tour Leaders and casual staff to ensure they are prepared for the delivery of their assigned programs
- Source and develop new product and prepare new product proposals for clients.
- Coordinate with the client and their onboard team to deliver the contracted program.
- Attend cruise ship calls, embarkation/disembarkation and hotels to oversee the operations function, including managing tour leaders, coaches and suppliers to ensure the program is delivered to a high standard.
- Manage presales and waitlists from cruise line partners. Update port partners on sales.
- Ensure all services are booked and delivered to our clients to meet contractual obligations.
- Create and maintain strong working relationships with cross-functional teams and key partners.
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in tourism and a minimum 2 years' relevant experience. They will possess innovative approach to developing land product and delivering ground operations plus relevant travel industry experience.
The following skills and qualifications are required:
- Sound knowledge of Australian ports & cities.
- Experience providing logistical or operational service within cruise or tourism.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Strong administrative skills and the ability to learn new systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
- Availability to work flexible hours - during high season weekend work will be required and some travel within Australia will be required.
