Civil Infrastructure Project Manager Position

As a key player in our team, you will apply your expertise to a wide range of projects across New South Wales. Your daily tasks will be diverse and offer valuable experience. The role will provide exposure to various activities, including design management, engineering assessment, project management, stakeholder management, and construction phase tasks.

This position supports our Community Development business, based in Sydney or Wollongong.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the delivery of land development and infrastructure related projects from initiation through to construction.
  • Prepare and update civil engineering documentation, including design reports, cost estimates, specifications, tender documentation, programs, and schedules.
  • Apply civil engineering knowledge to various works, which may include engineering drawings, calculations, reports, design criteria, to support engineering projects related to land development and infrastructure.
  • Supervise sites and conduct quality control inspections of civil infrastructure and land development projects, adhering to design specifications, safety protocols, and Local/State Government standards.
  • Assist in reviewing engineering drawings and submittals, respond to requests for information, prepare site observation reports, and perform other contract administration tasks.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years working experience in civil engineering, project management, and/or site supervision of land development and civil infrastructure projects.
  • Membership or eligibility with Engineers Australia.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in interpreting and applying relevant legislation, standards, and guidelines.
  • Strong technical expertise and ability to produce accurate design documentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in time management and organisational skills, including managing resources and delegating tasks effectively.
  • Ongoing commitment to professional development through self-study, training, and seminars, and maintaining Continual Professional Development (CPD).
