About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AI Architect to join our Data & AI Architecture team at Australia Post. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of AI solutions that align with our strategic goals and Data & AI Reference Architecture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design scalable and robust AI architectures that can be integrated seamlessly with existing IT infrastructure in alignment with our Data & AI Reference Architecture.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI technologies, frameworks, and platforms that best serve the organization's needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership on AI-related projects, ensuring that solutions are technically sound and adhere to industry standards.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of AI systems, implementing improvements and optimizations as necessary.
  • Participate in relevant Architecture Forums and Boards, prepare submissions and presentations.
  • Conduct research and development to explore new AI methodologies and techniques that can provide a competitive advantage.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Enterprise, Domain or Solution Architecture, with at least 5 years focused on AI, machine learning, or data science.
  • Proven ability designing and implementing large-scale AI systems in a production environment.
  • Experience in leading technical teams and managing complex AI projects is advantageous.
  • Understanding of any major cloud platform (AWS, GCP, Azure) and AI deployment strategies.
  • Expertise in at least one AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn and proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or others.
  • Specialised knowledge of data engineering, big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), and data governance.
  • Familiarity with AI in specific domains such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, or reinforcement learning.
  • Strong understanding of MLOps application lifecycle management, CI/CD automation, and operational monitoring and maintenance.
