Job Role

The role of a Traffic Coordinator is vital to ensure safe and efficient site operations. As a Traffic Coordinator, you will be responsible for directing and managing traffic flow at construction sites or roadworks.

To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. You should also have strong problem-solving abilities and be capable of making sound judgments under pressure.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Directing and controlling traffic flow at construction sites or roadworks
  • Coordinating with other personnel, including drivers and engineers
  • Maintaining accurate records of traffic control operations
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A valid QLD Traffic Controller Industry Authority (Stop/Slow Bat)
  • A current General Construction White Card
  • A current Driver's Licence (HR or LR licence preferred for vehicle roles)
  • A Traffic Management Implementation Card (QLD) – Mandatory for vehicle driver positions
  • Proven experience operating Traffic Utes, VMS Utes, and/or Cone Trucks
