TrueBlue Traffic Management is seeking an experienced Traffic Management Designer (TMD) & Project Manager for our Redland Bay office to maintain our high standards of service and oversee traffic control staff. The successful candidate will join a supportive team committed to outstanding customer service and optimal outcomes. The role requires the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently using initiative.

About the Role

Position: Traffic Management Designer

Start Date: Immediate

Type: Full-Time

Location: Redland Bay Office

Salary: $125k - $145k (dependent on experience) + super, fuel card, laptop & phone

Additional Benefits: $5k start bonus*, annual bonus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) and Traffic Management Plans (TMP) in accordance with relevant legislation.
  • Review TGS plans prepared by drafters for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard identifications to ensure safety standards.
  • Manage permit applications and approvals efficiently.
  • Coordinate with operational teams to implement traffic management plans.
  • Engage with local councils, government agencies, and clients to obtain approvals and ensure compliance.
  • Perform site inspections and audits to verify adherence to plans.
  • Contribute to process improvements in traffic management standards.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of plans, permits, and risk assessments.
  • Participate in pre-start meetings, providing expert traffic management advice.
  • Lead and manage a team of Traffic Controllers (TCs) to ensure operational efficiency.

Experience & Ticket Requirements:

  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • TMD Accreditation (essential).
  • Current Driver's Licence and White Card.
  • Experience with TRAFFIO, including bookings and invoicing.
  • Understanding of safety management systems and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proactive approach to promoting safe work practices.
  • Experience in hazard assessment and risk reduction.
  • Customer-focused mindset with high-quality service delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, multitasking, and prioritization abilities.
  • High-level administrative skills and computer literacy.
