Job Title:

Senior Ecologist/Project Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage high-stakes projects with quality, timeliness and attention to detail.
  • Develop complex reports while ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with standards.
  • Guide less tenured team members, supporting their growth and ensuring top-notch work.
  • Build strong client relationships, understanding needs and maintaining clear communication.
  • Contribute to business growth by identifying process improvements, enhancing workflows, and supporting overall strategy.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
  • Essential:
    – Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Science, Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related discipline.
    – Extensive experience managing ecological or environmental projects, ideally within a consulting environment.
    – Strong skills in ecological assessments and compliance with environmental regulations
    – Proven ability to deliver reports and project outcomes to the highest standards, with a 'can-do' approach.
    – High-level time management skills and the ability to handle complex projects independently & as part of a team.
    – Self-motivated & able to prioritize work efficiently based on urgency.
    – OH&S commitment and safety standards compliance.
    – Open NSW Driver Licence
  • Desirable:
    – Biodiversity Assessor Accreditation, FPA Accreditation, and botany skills.
    – Bushfire planning
    – GIS mapping
