About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team in providing exceptional care and support services to our Elders.

This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who share our passion for delivering high-quality care that respects the dignity and autonomy of our clients.

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and independence of our Elders, working collaboratively with them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be able to work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, and have a Certificate III in Aged Care or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with general client care including personal care, domestic assistance, social support, respite, meals and transport activities.
  • Support independence for our Elders to remain in their own home.
  • Provide tailored service to clients in line with their care plan.

Requirements:

  • C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
  • Criminal History Check
  • Reliable vehicle with proof of registration
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check (willing to obtain)
  • Certificate III in Aged Care / Individual Support / Community Care
  • Ability to work sensitively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders respecting their traditional culture, values and personal ways of doing things.

To succeed in this role, you will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, be empathetic and understanding, and have a genuine passion for working with older adults.

You will also need to be flexible, reliable, and able to work autonomously as part of a team.
