Lead Accounts Payable Specialist

This role will oversee the administration of the accounts payable function, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments to suppliers.
You will assist staff with general inquiries related to creditors, requisitioning/purchasing, and general ledger postings.
- Accurate and timely processing of accounts payable records daily
- Electronic distribution of accounts payable invoices received daily
- Generation of a weekly EFT payment batch and ad hoc if required
- Processing payments to suppliers within trading terms to comply with procurement policies
- Ensure proper financial delegations are adhered to as per procurement policies
- Ensure payments authorized by employees are within the framework for approval and expenditure
- Reconcile all creditor statements promptly at the end of the month
Key responsibilities include:
- Administration of accounts payable records
- Electronic distribution of invoices
- Payment processing
- Financial delegation
- Creditor statement reconciliation
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping
- Minimum 2 – 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Previous experience in accounts payable processing
- Previous experience in reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
