Job Title

A Philanthropy Manager role has become available at a leading LGBTIQ+ rights organisation. This opportunity is focused on championing equality through strategic fundraising.

About the Role

This senior role will lead the delivery of a major gifts-focused fundraising strategy, ensuring the organisation has the necessary income and partnerships to achieve its mission.

  • Deliver and refine the Fundraising Plan in collaboration with the CEO, Board, and Fundraising Committee.
  • Build, cultivate, and steward relationships with major donors, decision makers, and high-value prospects.
  • Plan and deliver donor events and online fundraising campaigns to inspire giving and maximise outcomes.
  • Maintain strong donor engagement, track, report, and evaluate fundraising outcomes against strategic goals.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of securing major gifts and building high-trust partnerships.
  • Strong commitment to advancing LGBTIQ+ rights and equality, with knowledge of Australian politics and LGBTIQ+ communities.
  • Minimum 5 years' professional fundraising experience, including major donors/high net worth individuals, donor portfolio management, and planned giving.
  • Experience delivering high-impact fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to inspire, influence, and maintain confidentiality.
