Job Description

The Mc Truck Driver will be responsible for transporting and delivering cargo or materials across Western Australia. The successful candidate will have a valid Australian MC/Heavy truck licence and at least one year of recent heavy/multi-combination driving experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive trucks with a capacity of over 3 tons to transport and deliver cargo or materials
  • Work in remote locations and drive long distances
  • Deliver goods via heavy haulage trucks, sometimes over intercity routes or spanning several states
  • Transport hazardous materials
  • Conduct daily pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles
  • Report serious mechanical problems to the appropriate personnel
  • Load and unload cargo
  • Maintain radio or telephone contact with base or supervisor
  • Complete paperwork documenting delivery information, miles driven and expenses

Requirements

  • AQF certificate II or III
  • Valid Australian MC/Heavy truck licence
  • Minimum of 1 year recent heavy/multi-combination driving experience
  • Fatigue Management Certificate
  • Able to pass a drug and alcohol and pre-employment medical
  • MSIC Card
  • Load restraint certificate
  • Dogs and chain experience
  • Side and End Tipper experience

  • Highly reliable with a first-class approach to safety and customer service, good communication skills
