Mid-Senior Tax Accountant Position

The company is seeking a highly skilled Mid-Senior Tax Accountant to join their team in Western Sydney. As a key member of the accounting department, this role will provide an exciting opportunity to work with a reputable infrastructure services provider.

This position offers a commercially focused and dynamic environment where you can take ownership of tax matters and contribute to the company's success. With a strong emphasis on financial performance and compliance, you will be responsible for preparing and lodging income tax returns, BAS, FBT submissions, and managing indirect taxes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and lodge income tax returns, BAS, FBT submissions, and manage indirect taxes.
  • Oversee accounting for trusts, partnerships, and related entities.
  • Respond to tax-related queries from stakeholders.
  • Support monthly management reporting and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets and reforecasts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in a mid-tier Chartered Accounting firm.
  • CA/CPA qualified or near completion.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian taxation legislation, ATO requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience with trusts, partnerships, or complex group structures is advantageous.
