Procurement Excellence Role

In this pivotal position, you will play a key role in developing and executing strategic procurement initiatives that drive supply chain excellence. Your efforts will enhance commercial value, mitigate risks, and unlock cost savings to secure our competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies across all assets for operational and capital expenditure requirements.
  • Ensure commercial value and supply security in critical operational categories.
  • Design and oversee procurement plans and contracts, understanding legal terms related to procurement agreements.
  • Analyze market developments, spend trends, and supplier performance to identify improvement opportunities and savings.
  • Develop sourcing strategies and manage industry engagement from sourcing to award, demonstrating negotiation and problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design product groups that maximize value and streamline delivery.
  • Provide strategic guidance to shape effective sourcing strategies and drive procurement excellence.
  • Create work plans aligned with business strategy, procurement processes, and workload.
  • Support governance, approvals, risk management, and compliance standards.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement, contract management, or senior roles within mining, resources, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Bachelor's degree in commerce, law, supply chain, or related field.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels, including supplier relationship management.
  • Deep knowledge of contract law, procurement legislation, and ability to negotiate complex contractual terms.
  • Proven track record of managing high-value, high-risk contracts under tight deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
