Job Overview

We are seeking a production associate to work in an aluminum extrusion factory. This role involves packing and preparing long-length aluminum products for dispatch while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.

The Job
  • Packing long lengths of aluminum into skips or onto bases for dispatch.
  • Preparing materials for shipment by shrink-wrapping, stock-taking, RF scanning, and quality-checking to ensure profiles match products.
  • Assembling materials into square shapes for dispatch and preparing crates.
  • Operating an Electric Pallet Jack (EPJ) and forklift for cleating purposes (if licensed).
  • Maintaining adherence to safety procedures, including proper handling, maintenance, and storage of personal protective equipment.
Roster
  • Day shifts: 5am – 5pm
  • Night shifts: 5pm – 5am

Penalty rates apply for shifts over 10 hours.

Key Qualifications
  • Previous labouring and packing experience, ideally in a factory environment.
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual handling tasks (training will be provided).
  • Willingness to follow instructions and work safely at all times.
  • Current forklift license (preferred but not essential).
  • Availability to work day, afternoon and night shifts rostered Monday to Friday.
  • Own transport and current driver's license due to shift requirements.
