Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Duty Manager to join our Front Office team at Pullman & Mercure Melbourne Albert Park. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a shift of front office professionals, ensuring our guests have an exceptional experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a shift of front office professionals, including our overnight team, to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures for the front office department, focusing on guest engagement and satisfaction.
  • Assist with the management of the team, including training and development, to ensure team success.
  • Handle complex guest queries and feedback, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Work a rotating roster, including overnight, weekends, and public holidays, to meet business needs.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role with proven success in leading front office teams.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Desire to grow skills and progress managerial experience, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Ability to work autonomously when leading the overnight team, with a focus on decision-making and problem-solving.
  • Previous experience with a Property Management System (PMS), with Opera experience highly regarded.
  • Reliability and flexibility to work a rotating roster, with a focus on meeting business needs.
  • Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
