About the Role
The Duty Manager at Park Hyatt Melbourne is responsible for overseeing the front office operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining the highest standards of hotel management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage front office staff to deliver exceptional customer service
- Ensure efficient processing of guest arrivals, departures, and transactions
- Handle guest complaints and internal customer inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner
- Allocate rooms for the following day and oversee safety deposit box management
- Assist in maintaining a high level of security for guests, staff, and hotel property
- Delegation of tasks and responsibilities to staff
- Ensure all employees deliver the brand promise and provide excellent service to both internal and external customers
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Duty Manager or Team Leader in Front Office within a four or five-star hotel environment
- Proven experience in supervising, motivating, and training others
- Diploma level or higher qualification in business, tourism, or hotel management is advantageous
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication skills with advanced proficiency of the English language
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multi-task
- Superior customer service skills along with excellent service resolution skills
- The capability of working both autonomously and as part of a team
- The ability to work well under pressure and possess a great attention to detail
- The ability to create a positive first impression with an understanding of the importance of 5-star grooming standards
