Administrative Coordinator Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, visitors, and telephone callers
  • Maintain a welcoming and professional office environment by ensuring the reception area is tidy and well-presented
  • Provide administrative support to the team through data entry, preparing letters and presentations
  • Process payments, issue accounts, and associated correspondence in a timely manner
  • Develop a deep understanding of service requirements with sensitivity to client needs
  • Stay up-to-date with products and services offered and provide relevant recommendations to satisfy funeral service needs
  • Accurately complete funeral documentation and ensure timely submission
  • Clearly communicate costs and payment terms to clients
  • Liaise with external service providers, such as clergy, florists, and suppliers

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a customer-focused organization
  • Proficient keyboard and computing skills, including telephone operation
  • Able to effectively communicate with diverse individuals, both in-person and over the phone
  • Sensitivity to people experiencing grief and loss, understanding their values and beliefs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Will to learn and benefit from training and development programs
  • Able to respond empathetically to client/family concerns
  • Comfortable discussing death and expressions of grief
  • Proactive approach to supporting colleagues
  • Status as a Justice of the Peace or eligibility for certification
  • Current, unrestricted driver's license
