Job Opportunity

Visiting Medical Officer in General Practice is a highly sought-after role for skilled medical professionals.

This position requires a general practitioner to provide comprehensive, professional specialist services as a visiting medical officer at Tenterfield Community Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing clinical services including admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth, and on-call services.
  • Delivering high-quality patient care during rostered hours and on-call periods, including clinical handover, supervision, teaching, and emergency and routine care.
Essential Qualifications:
  • A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM.
  • Recent experience in general practice demonstrating strong medical expertise.
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, colleagues, and the public.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and with stakeholders.
