Seeking a skilled Visiting Medical Officer to provide comprehensive and professional specialist services in General Practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide contemporary, evidence-based care to patients in the Emergency Department and inpatients.
  • Offer admitting, consultative, diagnostic, procedural, outpatient, telehealth and on-call services as required.
  • Participate in clinical handover, supervision, teaching and emergency and routine care.

Mandatory requirements for this role include:

Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of RACGP or ACRRM, or overseas trained specialist pathways.
  • Evidence of recent and comprehensive experience in general practice.
  • Evidence of being a scholar, maintaining medical professional development and assisting other staff in knowledge acquisition and development.
  • Evidence of being a skilled communicator, able to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework.
  • Evidence of being a collaborator, working with other stakeholders in various settings.
  • Evidence of being a manager, flexible and able to cope with changes in the health system.
  • Evidence of being a professional, continuing professional development, peer review and clinical governance.
  • Evidence of being an advocate, contributing to improving individual and societal health.
