This is a key role responsible for providing strategic advice, direction, and support regarding risk management, disaster management, and business continuity. The main focus is on developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure appropriate controls, accountability, and adherence to standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Risk Management Policy Development
    • Develop and maintain risk management policies and procedures to minimize exposure and maximize resilience.
    • Maintain accurate records and registers to meet reporting requirements.
  • Disaster Management and Business Continuity Planning
    • Coordinate cyclical reviews to ensure effective disaster management and business continuity frameworks.
    • Provide professional advice and support on risk management, disaster management, and business continuity frameworks.
  • Research and Analysis
    • Research emerging issues and identify implications and opportunities.
    • Develop issue and proposal papers for senior management consideration.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Foster a culture of respect, equity, diversity, and inclusion within the department.
Technical Skills and Abilities
  • Deliver presentations and facilitate discussions to enhance departmental capability.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of current risk management and business continuity practices and trends.
  • Write concise analytical reports and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
