Spinal Life Australia is committed to providing high-quality care and support to individuals with spinal cord injuries. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our clients by assisting them with daily tasks in their homes.

About the Role
In this rewarding position, you will directly support clients who require assistance with everyday activities. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting clients with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs, using hoists when necessary.
  • Grooming, bathing, dressing, and dental hygiene.
  • Personal care, including toileting, bladder, and bowel management.
  • Basic wound care and self-medication.
  • Domestic support such as meal preparation, light household duties, and laundry.
  • Community access such as driving to appointments and social activities.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
This role requires:

  • No prior experience in disability or aged care is required - comprehensive training will be provided.
  • A valid Driver's Licence and own reliable vehicle are essential.
  • A smartphone device.
  • The ability to hold, or obtain, an NDIS Workers Screening Card and Blue Card.
  • Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module.
