Data Governance Specialist Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Governance Specialist to join our team. This role will involve the delivery of strategic data governance initiatives, ensuring data assets are documented, classified and managed according to company policies.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in data management or a related field
  • At least 3+ years experience in a data governance role
  • Experience in business analysis and data cataloging
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Superior time management and attention to detail

The Data Governance Specialist will be responsible for collecting and documenting information about company data assets, analysing data retention requirements, classifying data assets according to their confidentiality, and implementing data quality rules.

In this role, you will also support data stewards in monitoring and resolving data issues, facilitate periodic data governance activities such as retention rule reviews, and develop and facilitate data management training.
