Senior Lecturer (Aboriginal Health)

This part-time opportunity is available at the Kimberley Centre for Remote Medical Training in Broome. The role involves contributing to curriculum innovation, teaching, and leadership roles within the faculty.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and pedagogical innovation.
  • Demonstrate leadership in the use of digital technologies in teaching.
  • Promote and support learning in less experienced staff through mentoring, peer review, and leadership roles.
About the Role

The position is an Identified role open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people only. It requires advanced qualifications or significant experience in the relevant discipline area. A health professional with a PhD or a Masters degree with 5 years of teaching experience, or a Medical qualification registrable with AHPRA and a Fellowship of a relevant professional body or significant progress towards is essential.

Experience in teaching at Masters level or higher, or in medical, health, or professional practice-based education settings, is highly regarded. Knowledge of contemporary Aboriginal Health Curriculum and Aboriginal people, culture, history, and community, and how health impacts on Aboriginal people is required.
