This part-time appointment supports the Rural Clinical School of WA in improving rural health outcomes through culturally safe medical education.
About the RoleAs a Cultural Engagement Officer, you will lead community engagement and Reconciliation activities across RCSWA's WA-wide network. You will build relationships with Aboriginal health organisations, promote knowledge-sharing, student pathways, and cultural learning initiatives for staff and students, and facilitate programs that support culturally appropriate medical education.
Key Responsibilities- Support Reconciliation goals and collaborate across education and health sectors;
- Facilitate programs, manage feedback, and report outcomes;
- Build relationships with Aboriginal health organisations and promote culturally appropriate medical education;
Our ideal candidate has strong interpersonal and community engagement skills, with cultural sensitivity and awareness, and is a well-organised team-oriented person who can work independently in a rural setting.
