First Nations Community Liaison

About the Role
The First Nations Mentor role at The BUSY Group is a contract position that will assist in engaging with our First Nations customers and local community actively and effectively. The successful candidate will be assigned other duties as necessary, supporting the leadership team in activities such as advocacy and event planning. These activities will ensure customers and stakeholders receive quality and culturally appropriate service provision while ensuring that The BUSY Group exceeds Government, CoAct (if applicable), and statutory body key performance indicators and contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high levels of customer service to external/ internal stakeholders
- Provide mentoring to First Nations Customers to ensure a successful transition into sustainable employment
- Provide advice to the management team regarding issues for First Nations customers
- Develop and deliver culturally appropriate non-accredited pre-placement training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Participants and their Employers or Host Organisations in line with Workforce Australia Guidelines
- Build strong relationships with customers, support their personal growth, cultural identity and connection with community
- Build and maintain links with the First Nations communities in our areas of operation
- Provide post-placement support for First Nations as required
