Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team in the North Lakes, QLD region. As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will work with individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours to develop and implement tailored support plans, promoting independence and empowerment.
About the Role
This is a community-based role, where you will work with adults and children with disabilities, supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Conducting assessments and developing person-centred plans to meet the unique needs of each individual
- Evaluating and implementing evidence-based support plans to promote positive behaviour and independence
- Building relationships with families, carers, and other support networks to ensure a comprehensive support system
- Acting as an advocate and role model for best practice in the disability sector
- Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Extensive experience working in the NDIS and supporting individuals with disabilities and challenging behaviours
- Understanding of Behaviour Support and Restrictive Practices
- Eligibility to apply for suitability with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission
- A degree-level qualification as an allied health professional
- Membership/registration with a relevant professional organisation
- Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a varied caseload
- A proactive and solution-focused attitude, with a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
