Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented crane operator to fill this key role in our operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating an overhead crane to transport materials and equipment throughout the facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily inspections of the crane and maintain accurate documentation
  • Operate the crane to move materials between storage areas, workstations, and trucks
  • Locate materials based on production information and ensure accuracy during transfer
  • Remove and replace slitter heads and scrap hoppers as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date crane training and certification
  • Communicate safety concerns and quality issues to supervisors and shift leads

Requirements:

  • Experience operating an overhead crane with a focus on safety and efficiency
  • Knowledge of current crane operation protocols and procedures
  • Ability to use tape measures and micrometers to ensure accurate measurements
  • Physical ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
