Porter and Maintenance Team Member

We are seeking a reliable and skilled porter and maintenance team member to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our yard, including cleaning portable buildings, performing basic repair and maintenance tasks, and assisting with the secure packing of furniture and accessories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cleaning portable buildings, including toilet blocks using provided equipment and supplies.
  • Completing basic repair and maintenance tasks on portable buildings, including toilet blocks; repairing and sealing flooring, replacing trim, painting and patching walls, basic plumbing, replacing doors and locks etc.
  • Securingly packing furniture and accessories in portable buildings for transport, including tables, chairs, desks, fridges, microwaves etc.
  • Undertaking general housekeeping and yard duties to ensure a safe, clean and well-organised work environment.
  • Assisting qualified trades with portable building refurbishments and upgrades as necessary.

Requirements

  • A current driver's license and reliable transport.
  • Handyman experience, including use of power tools is desirable.
  • Relevant cleaning or labouring experience is essential.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and within a team is crucial.
  • A positive attitude and high regard for workplace safety is required.
