We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Senior Participation Coordinator.
Job DescriptionThe Senior Participation Coordinator will be responsible for managing the Engagement and Transition program, as well as other early intervention programs within the Region. This includes training, mentoring, and supporting Engagement and Transition Coordinators, monitoring case management, and performing performance management of team members.
Additionally, the Senior Participation Coordinator will develop and implement operational management procedures and strategies for training or suitable employment for compulsory school-aged students at risk. They will also monitor and report outcomes to stakeholder schools and the Region, collect, analyze, and report data in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner, and work effectively in a team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Nationally recognized qualification in human services, youth work, or a related area is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and clarify issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and teamwork across diverse backgrounds.
- Demonstrated capacity to work in diverse settings with at-risk young people.

- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number before starting.
- Hold a current 'C' class driver's license.
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- Undertake travel, including overnight stays in non-metropolitan locations, as required.
- Undertake travel in small aeroplanes to remote locations, as required.

School Support ProgramThis role involves working with schools to support the transition of at-risk students into post-school options.
Working in this field requires empathy, understanding, and strong communication skills.
You will be part of a team that works closely together to achieve positive outcomes for students.
Main Responsibilities- Lead the Engagement and Transition program, ensuring effective implementation and reporting of results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including schools and community organizations.
- Collaborate with the team to design and deliver training programs for staff.
- Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, making recommendations for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, as required.
