Financial Operations Specialist

Robert Walters is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join their team. This role involves ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial transactions, customer admission and departure processes, internal and external audit functions, and customer fee account reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive transactional processing functions to ensure all HCS transactional processing is completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure customer admission process is completed in a timely manner, meeting all appropriate funding requirements.
  • Complete customer departure process according to legislative requirements.
  • Provide support for internal audit and external audit functions as required.
  • Support the wider finance team to achieve agreed reporting deadlines by ensuring timely completion of all processes and reconciliations.
  • Reconcile customer fee accounts and prepare refunds for payment.
  • Process customer receipts daily in accordance with procedures.
  • Prepare and process HCS billing files ensuring monthly deadlines are met.
  • Resolve customer queries received by phone or email in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements:
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration or equivalent (desirable).
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role for a large multi-site organisation.
  • Experience in account management functions and ability to manage large volumes of financial data.
  • Experience in end-of-month financial processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency with a computerised financial accounting system including fast accurate keyboard skills and preferably advanced spread sheeting skills.
  • Aged care industry experience preferable but not essential.
