Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Microbiology Division as a Product Specialist, responsible for driving sales growth and customer engagement in the clinical and pharmaceutical laboratory markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets by developing and executing effective business territory plans.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and use data analysis tools to optimize sales and margin metrics for customer accounts.
  • Gain a strong understanding of customer requirements and application needs on a technical level, to ensure the most suitable solution is proposed.
  • Maintain an accurate opportunity funnel for all assigned product lines, including closure dates and completed sales process.
  • Attend relevant industry scientific meetings and conferences to stay up-to-date with market trends and developments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Science or related subject area.
  • Experience in a Microbiology laboratory or commercial Microbiology setting.
  • Strong understanding of the Sales process with consistent track record to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to prioritize based on key result areas and meet agreed commitments.
