About the Role

As a Project Officer at Ignite, you will play a crucial role in supporting the organization's mission to lead national improvements in healthcare safety and quality. You will work closely with the director to coordinate a range of activities across various programs, including procurement, project planning, contract management, budgeting, document preparation, and system support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collate and edit meeting papers, submissions, briefing notes, and consultation documents to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  • Provide secretariat support for committees and expert groups, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Coordinate project management activities, monitoring projects, and tracking progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate procurement, contracts, financial administration, and budget monitoring to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to meet project goals, fostering strong relationships and open communication.
  • Analyze data, reports, and expert opinions to inform project development and decision-making.
  • Update written resources for internal and external audiences, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Engage with stakeholders and team members to build trust and foster a collaborative environment.
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a Project Officer role or similar position.
  • Previous experience supporting Program managers or Directors, with a strong understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • Must have experience in the Government sector or with working with Committees, with a strong understanding of government processes.
  • Experience in secretariat support and project management, including budget management and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce high-level documents, including briefing papers, reviews, submissions, correspondence, and meeting papers.
  • Contract management and procedural procurement experience.
  • Project management experience to coordinate multiple competing projects.
  • Strong stakeholder communication and engagement experience.
