Senior Technical Manager

Job Overview:

The Senior Technical Manager is responsible for leading a team of technical specialists in delivering high-quality support services to customers. The role reports directly to the Global Support Director and involves strategic planning, talent development, and operational execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing technical strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end service ticket management process to ensure timely response and resolution of customer issues.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of technical specialists to drive continuous improvement in service delivery and quality.
  • Managing, developing, and maintaining a first-class service delivery team by ensuring they have effective resources and tools to meet their obligations.
  • Contributing to and implementing local and global strategies to improve customer satisfaction and product availability and reliability.
  • Execution of and contribution to the continuous improvement of the Support Framework.
  • Effective resource management to ensure the team has sufficient resources to deliver on its service and support obligations.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in a technical field with a focus on people development.
  • Background in ICT, software development, or other relevant training/experience.

Technical Requirements:

  • Windows Operating Systems and Networking.
  • User security and rights management.
  • Windows 7 + technology and Windows 2008 + server technologies.
  • Application setup and maintenance.
  • Understanding Firewall, NAT and Routing rules.
  • Basic network diagnostics.
  • Basic Microsoft SQL Server and Transact-SQL.
