Job Title: Cost Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to fill the role of Cost Accountant. In this position, you will play a critical part in our company's financial management and analysis team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough cost analysis and provide detailed reports on variances, standard costs, and profitability.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Identify opportunities for reduction and process improvement by analyzing production costs.
  • Support financial reporting processes, ensuring accurate representation of manufacturing costs.
  • Collaborate with operations, supply chain, and finance teams to inform decision-making.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting, focusing on manufacturing costs and inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Prepare documentation and answer inquiries to support audits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory accounting.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems is beneficial.
