Key Responsibilities:

Our organisation is seeking a WHS Senior Advisor to provide strategic advice on work health and safety matters. This role involves facilitating risk assessments, coaching operational teams and conducting workplace inspections.

Role Overview:
  • The successful candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations, as well as relevant Australian and International Standards.
  • They will be competent in applying risk management concepts and practices, and WHS incident investigation methodologies.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safety management systems, including their development and implementation in a large organisation with diverse hazard profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

The WHS Senior Advisor will:

  • Provide timely advice on WHS matters
  • Facilitate risk assessments
  • Coach operational teams on how to identify and respond to hazards and incidents
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits and incident investigations
  • Respond to incidents and WHS matters as they arise
