About the Role:

The Central Adelaide Local Health Network seeks a highly skilled and experienced Medical Training Director to oversee the specialist psychiatry training program for Trainee Medical Officers (TMOs).

As the Director of Training – Consultant Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of the training program, guiding TMOs through each stage of their journey towards becoming Fellows of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP).

This includes managing six-monthly rotations, providing ongoing support to trainees and supervisors, and ensuring that training and education opportunities are optimised for successful completion.

You will work in collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, including the RANZCP, upholding accreditation standards, monitoring trainee progress, and supporting trainee wellbeing.

Your leadership will be essential in maintaining the quality and integrity of the program, contributing to the development of the next generation of psychiatrists.

About You:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional with the following qualifications and skills:

  • Specialist registration in Psychiatry with the Medical Board of Australia
  • Strong commitment to RANZCP training goals and trainee wellbeing
  • Proven leadership, clinical excellence, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of RANZCP regulations, quality improvement, and safety standards
