Role Overview
SA Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Practitioner to join our team as a GP Consultant. This is an exciting opportunity for a senior medical professional to contribute to the provision of safe and effective medical primary healthcare services to patients of the South Australia Prison Health Service.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct clinical services, participating in the development of medical programs, and actively contributing to teaching junior medical staff, students, and nurse practitioners. Additionally, they will be involved in clinical outcome measurement and reporting, risk management, and performance development and appraisals.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical services to patients in a prison setting
- Contribute to the development of medical programs and policies
- Support the training and development of junior medical staff and students
- Participate in clinical outcome measurement and reporting
- Contribute to risk management and performance development and appraisals
- Work collaboratively with the Central Adelaide Local Health Network
