Transport Coordinator Job Description

The role of Transport Coordinator involves coordinating the movement of goods and equipment from one location to another. This includes communicating with internal teams and external customers, ensuring compliance with regulations, and troubleshooting transport-related issues.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Communicating with internal teams and external customers in relation to movements
  • Ensuring compliance with NHVR and Chain of Responsibility regulations
  • Working closely with drivers to ensure they are aware of their obligations, including monitoring of hours and movements
  • Troubleshooting and resolving transport-related issues in a timely manner
  • Ensuring all work meets safety and compliance standards
  • Assisting the hire team as required with some hire contract building
  • Running transport across multiple states
  • Engaging 3rd party transport providers to fulfill transport requirements as required

Requirements :

  • Previous experience in logistics, transport coordination or a similar role
  • Experience or knowledge with Pilot Transport and load restraint requirements
  • A current Truck Licence (HR as a minimum)
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A commitment to workplace safety (OH&S)
  • Problem solving skills & ability to manage multiple tasks in high pressure environment

About the Role :

This is a full-time, permanent position working Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm (some after-hours phone calls may be required). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all transport operations meet the highest safety and compliance standards.
